Multi-Slot Over-the-Air Computation in Fading Channels

چکیده
IoT systems typically involve separate data collection and processing, face the scalability issue when number of nodes increases. For some tasks, only result fusion is needed. Then, whole process can be realized in an efficient way, integrating one step by over-the-air computation (AirComp). Its shortcoming, however, signal distortion channel gains are different, which cannot well solved transmission power control alone times deep fading. To address this issue, paper, we propose a multi-slot (MS-AirComp) framework for sum estimation fading channels. Compared with conventional (one slot each node) AirComp all nodes), MS-AirComp alternative policy that lies between them, exploiting multiple slots to improve so as facilitate control. Avoiding obtain instantaneous at sink key point. Specifically, transmissions distributed over threshold gain set scheduling. Each node transmits its once, first gets above threshold, or last remains below threshold. Theoretical analysis gives closed-form error channels, based on optimal parameters found. Noticing tends reduced cost more power, method suggested increase power. Simulations confirm proposed effectively reduce error, compared state-of-the-art methods.

Over-the-Air Computation in MIMO Multi-Access Channels: Beamforming and Channel Feedback
Future Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks are expected to wirelessly connect billions of sensors. It is impractical to collect data from the massive population of sensors using any traditional orthogonal multi-access scheme that leads to excessive latency. To tackle the challenge, a technique called over-theair computation (AirComp) was recently developed to enable a data-fusion to receive a des...

متن کاملMIMO Transceiver Design for Multi-Antenna Communications over Fading Channels
In wireless communications, the use of multiple antennas for both transmission and reception is associated with performance gains of fundamental nature. One such gain stems from the spatial-multiplexing capabilities of wireless multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) channels: Many propagation environments admit several data streams to be conveyed in parallel over a single point-to-point link, set...
متن کاملTowards control over fading channels
Motivated by control problems over wireless fading channels, the mean square stabilization of a linear system over a time-varying finite rate feedback link is studied. Process and observation disturbances are allowed to occur over an unbounded support. Necessary and sufficient conditions to stabilize the system are derived, and their implications are discussed.

Abstract— The fading wire-tap channel is investigated, where the source-to-destination channel and the source-to-wire-tapper channel are corrupted by multiplicative fading gain coefficients in addition to additive Gaussian noise terms. The channel state information is assumed to be known at both the transmitter and the receiver. The parallel wire-tap channel with independent subchannels is firs...
